Helping, Encouraging, and Loving Polygamists.

A Chance to Reach Out.

We were blessed with the opportunity to spend some time in Colorado City/Hildale this past weekend to help families and individuals that had contacted us for assistance. For the first time ever we have a wait-list of over 20 individuals desiring to leave their communities, yet have no housing options available to them at the moment. We have encouraged them to remain in their homes for the time being. However, this past weekend we were able to bring much-needed supplies and encouragement. We came with food, clothing, gift bags, shoes, laundry detergent, toiletries and other essentials in tow. We were even able to give one little girl her very first princess dress – she was overjoyed and gave us the tightest hugs trying to lift us off the ground in gratitude.

As Ben Winslow from Fox 13 (Utah) describes in the following news report, this is a “humanitarian crisis.” We are grateful because it is only through YOUR donations that HOH has been able meet needs and serve on the front lines. Please watch the video below for more details on what is going on within the FLDS community.

We plan on returning next month to bring more items for those in need. Here are some items that we still need:

  • toilet paper
  • paper towels
  • dish sets (specifically plasticware – safe for children), pots and pans, baking sets, and other kitchenware
  • laundry detergent, fabric softener, stain remover and laundry baskets
  • gas gift cards in $25 and $50 increments
  • vacuums
  • towel sets
  • buckets with cleaning supplies
  • silverware sets (for at least a family of 8)

You can drop these items at South Mountain Community Church in Draper, UT between 9am-3pm Monday – Thursday.

If you need to make other arrangements or live out of town, please contact HOH at 801.548.3492

Thank you so much!
